I'm completely habituated to a standard helmet, having now used one for say 30 years. I think it would take quite a bit of time to get used to having something around my neck, and that having something that *had* to be done up all the way would potentially freak me out.
And I'm not sure that it wouldn't be worse in terms of heat holding in the middle of summer, which is a real problem here.
